Antoinette Carpenter has always loved and cared for animals! She began helping pets in her teens, and had a dream to give her time to animals that were hurting and yearning for someone to care. Out of college, Antoinette joined the Air Force where she met and married Bill Carpenter. Bill is from NC and Antoinette is from southern CA.   From the beginning both knew their love for animals would take them on a journey to build a life servicing animals in need.  So they  always had pets...dogs, horses, cats, birds, squirrels...anything that found its way to their home. Every animal that came their home knew they were in a safe place to live.  But it wasn't until Antoinette joined the Board of the GA ASPCA that she realized her calling was to give senior dogs a place to go when their previous owners abandoned them....in their most vulnerable time of life.  And so the move to help senior animals was born. They named the sanctuary after the first senior dog they lost to cancer, Nick. And Nick was more than a dog or companion....Nick was more like their son.
