Our sanctuary is located in a small town outside of Charlotte, NC.  We have converted what was farm land to a place for dogs and horses to live harmoniously with all the other free creatures that roam the woods, hills, creeks, and bushes. Built on a hill, our home is a place where any dog or horse that comes to us for safety, will find 2 folks who will take them in no matter the breed, sex or personality.  While we don't typically adopt our rescues out to other homes, we always believe that there could be another person who sees seniors with a heart like ours that will give them a life worth living for the rest of their time in this world.

 

 As the cost of providing for all their needs is overwhelming, we always find a means to pay for whatever they need.  In the past, we have opened a "go fund me" page to pay for chemo, which ended up costing over $14,000.  It also took the funds we saved for a UTV to help with the farm and the horses.  But it was worth the cost, as we saved our Izzy, well, at least for a few more months.  We have also had random donations of food, blankets, crates, and funds.  In fact our daughter, even donated her birthday on FB to have all her friends provide our sanctuary with funds in lieu of buying her a birthday gift.  These funds went to pay for the medicine for Reba, who has a collapsed trachea.

 

 So, we can always use help, even though we try to maintain our organization on our own.  But we always welcome anyone who wants to help, or if they reluctantly find themselves in need of our services for their own senior pet.
