This sanctuary houses many 4 legged souls looking to live out their life feeling safe and wanted, just like all of us this world.  And so was our inspiration to create a sanctuary using family land.  Our mission is to do some good in this world.  We wanted to make this sanctuary a place where animals were not adopted out, but were allowed to live what is left of their life in a safe environment.  Our home was built for our dogs and horses.  When we designed the house, we planned to give the bottom floor to the dogs where they could live in warmth in winter and cool in the summer.  They have a TV, cable (lol), couches, beds, rugs, cookies, and homemade food.  They have several fenced in areas where they can run, play and even just enjoy the breeze to smell all the other things around them.  They see the vet for regular visits, and in times that are not so regular. And its these times where our hearts break, but we manage to do everything possible to give them a quality life before they leave us.  We have dealt with cancer, insects, injuries, seizures, and even a few dog fights...we have even had to hand feed one sweet who had been hanged by their previous owners left to die.  But no matter the cost, we managed to find the funds required to provide the best vet care they could have.  For every loss, we have cried, felt the emptiness, and given them a kind memorial with a spot on our shelf for them and the things they loved.  So we have toys, frisbees, blankets, and pillows that give us a warmth when we are feeling lost and tired.  Never going on a vacation....we can say we live our life for our babies.  And for every moment of tiredness and hopelessness, one look at the lost loved ones, we find a moment of peace.
